Verizon Wireless went ahead and changed the anonymous sending of SMS
messages so we need to enter one of those codes after looking at the
screen and trying to read those mangled characters. (I forget what
acronym is used these days for it.)
A workaround would be for Verizon Wireless customers to log in to the
text massage system using our "My Verizon" username and password passed
in a hash when instantiating SMS::Send, as described in SMS::Send's
documentation. From the web interface, we can send text messages once
logged in without that verification.
