Subject: | Strange difference between portable and non-portable 5.10.1 |
Hi,
I have found out a different behaviour of portable strawberry perl
comparing to non-portable one.
It happens with the following modules (distributions):
- Scalar-List-Utils
- IO
- Padre
(+ maybe others that I just haven't tried)
The above mentioned modules install fine (= without failing tests) on
non-portable perl 5.10.1, however have some failing tests on portable
5.10.1.
Scalar-List-Utils-1.21 - failed tests:
- t/expfail.t
- t/p_00version.t
IO-1.25 - failed test:
- t/io_dup.t
Padre-0.47 - failed test:
- t/04-config.t
I have tested this issue on non-portable 5.10.1 Oct09-beta2 and portable
5.10.1 Oct09-beta3 but I am nearly sure that this is not connected with
Oct09 release and have been introduced earlier.
After some investigation I have ended up in 'Portable' module that is
IMHO either the cause or at least somehow connected with this issue. As
my knowledge of the Portable's guts is very limited I was not able to
find out any solution and/or workaround how to deal with this problem.
