Module::install::Catalyst is missing $VERSION http://search.cpan.org/dist/Perldoc-Server-0.07 includes http://cpansearch.perl.org/src/JONALLEN/Perldoc-Server-0.07/inc/Module/Install/Catalyst.pm which is old broken version C:\snip\build\Perldoc-Server-0.07>dmake catalyst_par VERBOSE=1 Writing PAR "perldoc-server.par" dmake: Error code 130, while making 'catalyst_par' C:\snip\build\Perldoc-Server-0.07>pmvers PAR PAR::Packer PAR: 0.994 PAR::Packer: 0.991 The latest version works http://search.cpan.org/dist/Catalyst-Devel-1.20/ but its missing a VERSION number, them numbers are important Thank you

I'm moved this ticket to the Perldoc-Server queue, as the issue is about that application and the version of Module::Install::Catalyst which is bundled with it. However, on 2nd glance I think that this is incorrect. Module::Install::Catalyst is an extension which is bundled with your distribution when you distribute a Catalyst application (but not installed when you install the application), and as such I don't see the use of a version number in the package. Also you appear to be having an issue taking a CPAN Catalyst application distribution and trying trying to pack it as a PAR. This won't work as expected, you need Catalyst::Devel installed, and you want to be using the application without a bundled inc/ directory (I.e. from a checkout, or having removed the inc/ directory in the supplied CPAN tarball). As such, I think that this bug is invalid and can be closed. Sorry for the noise..
