Subject: Sys::Syslog version 0.16 required -- but not mentioned in Makefile.PL
This feels suspiciously like a downstream dep, but the test is failing in t/20-file.t, not any other distribution I had installed. :( t/20-file.t ................. 1/3 Sys::Syslog version 0.16 required--this is only version 0.13 at /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8/Log/Dispatch/Syslog.pm line 13. -- If riding in an airplane is flying, then riding in a boat is swimming. 113 jumps, 46.6 minutes of freefall, 89.1 freefall miles.

Yes, your suspicion is right and I have already opened a ticket with Log::Dispatch::Configurator on this issue: http://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=48348 Unofrtunately there's not yet been a response on that. My option is to include the dependency on this module which is wrong but prevents users like yourself having trouble. I might well do that, so will leave your ticket open as a reminder.
