Subject: latest version 5.5.1 is unauthorized
date-calc 5.5.1 is unauthorized, and thus is not proposed by cpanplus. you guys (thanos & steffen) need to agree on who is maintainer, or grant co-maintainership to thanos. until this is done, cpanplus will not propose to upgrade date::calc to 5.5.1

5.5.1 I didn't even know about the existence of this module. Question: Will I ever be able to upload that version number again, or will PAUSE prevent that, even if it wasn't an authorized upload? P.S.: I have nothing against branching in principle, since I don't really have the time anymore to fully support my modules. But I'd like to keep the two branches separate for the time being. A merge might eventually be in order should the features respond to large demand on the part of the users.

I told pause to delete the offending 5.5.1 version, though it only adds (and documents) two optional extra flags to ``Easter_Sunday($year [, $orthodox [, $julian]]);'' and fixes a minor gcc-4 compiler warning (that's the .1 in the version number :) In fact, I vaguely recall asking for permission and sending Steffen a diff. It was never my intention to fork off Steffen's excellent Date::Calc, merely a convenience to have my changes handy across multiple sites and not have to carry it around. Again, sorry for the mess. Best Regards, Thanos Chatziathanassiou
@steffen: i don't think you will be able to upload this version again, since an uploaded dist should have a unique name (otoh, it might be the tuple author / dist / version that should be unique). but that's not that big a deal: version numbers are cheap, and you can go from 5.5.0 to 5.5.2 later on :-) @thanos: i'm not saying that your job is wrong. i'm just stating that 5.5.1 is not picked by cpanplus. i think you should work together, and maybe have thanos have comaint status so you can share the releases between the 2 of you. especially since it seems that thanos changes are not intrusive and benefit date::calc users. but now it's up to you guys, i'm just reporting what i saw! :-)

Thank you very much for alerting us to the problem. I hope that the new version 5.6 of the module solves this (and nobody will download the module 5.5.1 accidentally anymore).
