Subject: Module stopped working with perl 5.10
cpantesters matrix http://matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Net-DAAP-DMAP&maxver= reveals that the module stopped working between 5.8.x and 5.10.0. So I ran a binary search to determine the root cause: Patch 24010 broke it which is in git f337b084, with the subject line Encoding neutral unpack I hope this helps somebody in finding the proper fix.
