Subject: Poor failure mode with empty META.yml
This failure was encountered while attempting to use CPANPLUS to install this specific version of DateTime::Format::Pg http://search.cpan.org/CPAN/authors/id/D/DM/DMAKI/DateTime-Format-Pg-0.16003.tar.gz That particular release had a broken META.yml file. However PCM did not release any useful diagnostics at all, simply dieing with an empty string in $@.

Fixed in the latest development release. Parse errors are now fatal and the exception contains the error message.
