Subject: The example code in the SYNOPSIS doesn't print anything
Pasting the SYNOPSIS code into a file and running the file with 'perl' produces no output, even though the print statement should be printing the DATA sections of the documentation. In fact, replacing '<DATA>' in the print statement with a constant string also yields no output, so it would seem that the print statement is simply never executed.
