Subject: perl-reversion numifies and surprises
% /usr/local/perl-5.10-g/bin/perl -MV=Perl::Version Perl::Version /usr/local/perl-5.10-g/lib/site_perl/5.10.0/Perl/Version.pm: 1.009 % /usr/local/perl-5.10-g/bin/perl-reversion lib/CPAN.pm Scanning lib/CPAN.pm 1.9402 Current project version is 1.9402 % /usr/local/perl-5.10-g/bin/perl-reversion --current 1.9402 --set 1.9403 --numify lib/CPAN.pm Scanning lib/CPAN.pm 1.9402 Setting version to 1.940003 Saving lib/CPAN.pm I would have expected to get 1.9403, as I wrote. Bug or feature? Regards from Berlin,
This is an unfortunate feature since Perl::Version parses single decimal point versions in groups of three digits. This is the same as #54481 and I'm going to follow that one and close this one. RT doesn't have a "duplicate" status (even though you got here first), so it will say "rejected".
