Below I put error message: Can't use string (" ") as a HASH ref while "strict refs" in use at /usr/local/ lib/perl5/5.8.2/ExtUtils/MM_Unix.pm line 503.

Simply hash out the line 11 of the Makefile.PL which says MAN3PODS => ' ', ie #MAN3PODS => ' ', Mike
