Subject: Why is $SAME_PERMISSIONS on for the root user?
This isn't a bug so much as a question. Why is $SAME_PERMISSIONS on for the root user by default? It would seem that an archive with the setuid bit set is most dangerous when unpacked by root resulting in setuid root files.
