Subject: META.yml should use "resource: repository: " so search.cpan.org can pick it up
META.yml contains a "resources: Repository:" as per META spec 1.4. However, I've noticed that search.cpan.org picks up "resources: repository:" (note case), and inserts it into the distribution page. For an example, see the link to the source repository for Test-Simple [1], as pointed to in Test-Simple's META.yml [2]. Isn't this a CPAN bug? Shouldn't we stick to the standard and encourage CPAN to do the right thing? (perhaps even make a case-insensitive match: I doubt that would cause any additional problems).

To confuse things further, "repository" (lowercase) in actually mentioned in the example in spec 1.4, but not listed as a valid option right below that. I found an e-mail [1] in the Module-Build mailing list which suggests that 'repository' is to be made official after all, but this change isn't yet reflected in META-spec-blead [2]. I think 'repository' is fine, but I can see why you'd want to follow the spec until somebody fixes it. But I'm not sure who we can go to to get it fixed. In that case, I can make the change, in the hopes that it becomes official soon. Still, I doubt we are the only distro with this problem, so it's best that CPAN fixes things up on their end as well. Show quoted text

The page at: http://search.cpan.org/feedback indicates that an email to cpansearch@perl.org might be best.
Resolving, as this is a CPAN issue.
