Subject: requires/perl in META.yml
I'd like CPAN shell to check requires/perl in META.yml immediately when it is checking for configure_requires, so dist install will fail quicker, without installing modules from configure_requires and running (Build|Makefile).PL. Code should check for both forms: 5.8.8 and 5.008008, and preferably, 5.8. Code for this can be copied from recent Module::Install if necessary. -- Alexandr Ciornii, http://chorny.net
