Sorry, I wasn't clear. I didn't mean to ask whether Perl's licence
terms are documented -- I already know what they are, and would not
have chosen my own module's licence terms to be "the same as Perl" if
I hadn't! What I meant was, is the META.yml "license" entry's
vocabulary documented anywhere -- in other words, what precisely
should I add to that file to mean "licensed like Perl" as opposed to
"licensed under the GPL", which is what you suggested but which
doesn't accurately reflect the licensing.
Sorry for the confusion.
Anyway, I found the answer here:

and it's "license: perl". I've added that to the META.yml, and it
will be included in the next release.
