Subject: Inconsistency for the license IO-Socket-Socks
Hi Ryan, While packaging IO::Socket::Socks for Debian, I noticed an inconsistency between the license stated in the header of the IO/Socket/Socks.pm (LGPL 2+) and the copyright stated in the embedded pod, hence the manual page (Artistic). It looks like you want LGPL 2+ ? Can you please clarify that ? Thanks, Pierre

Hi Ryan, Oleg, Oleg, I noticed that you took over the maintenance of this package for the release of verson 0.2. Do you think the license issue as reported in this bug could be fixed ? Ryan, any help ? As a reminder: the copyright part of the POD states "same as perl" (= Artistic or GPLv2) while other evidences gives LGPLv2. Thanks Pierre

Hi Pierre As I can see license of this module is LGPL. I tried to contact Ryan via email today, but my message returned as undelivered. I'll try to contact him again in few days. I plan to release version 0.3 of this module on this or next week. If I can not contact Ryan by this time, I will correct license in pod documentation to LGPL.
