Subject: Heading levels
Date: Fri, 06 Mar 2009 18:00:01 +0000
To: bug-HTML-WikiConverter [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Martin Brampton <counterpoint [...] aliro.org>
The HTML to Wiki converter converts heading levels in what seems the reverse to normal. That is, heading levels from <h1> to <h5> get progressively larger in the translation, whereas in HTML they would typically be styled to get smaller.

In what dialect are you experiencing this? This ticket was filed under the general HTML::WikiConverter queue, but it should be filed under the specific dialect module the bug is being experienced under. -- David Iberri On Fri, Mar 6, 2009 at 12:59 PM, Martin Brampton via RT <bug-HTML-WikiConverter@rt.cpan.org> wrote: Show quoted text

Hello I'm sorry, my report was a mistake. I failed to realise the meaning of "dialect" and its significance for the conversion process. Once I select the correct dialect, the conversion of headings is correct. Was the location of the ticket under my control? I submitted it by email as I don't have time to register on every system that asks me to do so before posting something. The other message that I entered still stands I believe, as an enhancement request to deal with things that are misinterpreted as wiki codes by quoting them. Thanks for working on a very useful facility, I have several already written documents in HTML that needed to migrate to wiki. Best regards, Martin Brampton David Iberri via RT wrote: Show quoted text

No worries. The term "dialect" with regards to wikis is completely artificial and I'm not sure anyone else uses it. (I just liked the image it conjured up of having multiple languages, and didn't really want to call them "wiki engines".) Show quoted text

Again, no worries. The location was under your control, but I don't blame you for not putting it in exactly the right spot. Show quoted text

Great, thanks. I'll reply to that ticket separately. Show quoted text

Glad to hear it -- cheers! -- David Iberri
