Bug Information
Severity: Normal
Broken in: 1.1901
Fixed in: (no value)

Subject: Versioning is slightly nasty ...
In perl the version '1.19' means the number 1.019 - and the number 1.1901 means the version string '1.190.1'. If the next version you release is '1.20', every use Time::Local 1.1901; will report an error.

This is not true at all. The numbers are only interpreted that way if they are version objects. Seeing as I didn't "use version" there, they're not. Please don't respond to this ticket, as doing so will re-open it. -dave /*============================================================ http://VegGuide.org http://blog.urth.org Your guide to all that's veg House Absolute(ly Pointless) ============================================================*/
