Subject: Make error
I have redhat 9 with kernel 2.4.20-8 on intel. perl version is 5.8.0. I download the Digest::MD5 2.30, gunzip, untar and perl Makefile.PL When I try to make, it give me this error: Makefile:84: *** missing separator. Stop. Wonder anything to do to fix this problem? John

Yes. Either use perl-5.8.1 or disable the UTF8-ness in your OS. Setting the LANG environment variable to a value like "C" should do. Regards, Gisle
