Subject: Method to convert to SI-prefixed value
Since you already have prefix to exponent mapping, it would be mighty handy to have a method of taking a result like 1.055056e+18 (joules) and getting back: 1.055056, exa(joules)
Thanks! I added this feature request on <a href='https://github.com/Klortho/Physics-Unit/issues/11'>this ticket</a> on GitHub.
I see from the threads there that someone hates RT, and therefore you prefer to do your tracking in Git. Problem is, marking things resolved in RT before they are actually resolved is premature and gives an inaccurate picture of the package. search.cpan.org hooks into RT and shows ticket summaries, which many users use when looking at packages....
Hi, I don't hate RT, but I'm not going to maintain tickets in two places, which is what you're asking me to do by reopening this. I'm working to get the next release out very soon, which will clearly indicate that bugs should be reported on github. If search.cpan.org ties into rt, then that's a limitation of search.cpan.org, and is unfortunate. But because search.cpan.org has limitations, that shouldn't impose an extra, unneeded burden on module developers. If github (and other) issue trackers has some kind of open API, then maybe search.cpan.org could be updated to reflect issue data from a variety of issue trackers.

The next release has correct META information which will point the cpan sites to github rather than RT. That release should come very soon. Joel On Sun, May 13, 2012 at 10:40 AM, Jerrad Pierce via RT < bug-Physics-Unit@rt.cpan.org> wrote: Show quoted text
