Hi, Håvard, thanks for getting in touch.
No, the old Net::Z3950 module is deprecated in favour of the ZOOM
module in the Net::Z3950::ZOOM distribution, as has been since its
last relase, 0.51 of 8 May, 2006. Eighteen months on, I think
everyone should have had enough time to migrate, and so Net::Z3950 is
no longer supported. (By me, at least.)
If anyone else wanted to keep it alive, I'd be happy to donate the
source code and make an official announcement.
