Example for Canon EOS 5D and EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM: Focal Length: 93.0 mm (35 mm equivalent: 478.6 mm) Example for Canon EOS 350D and EF-S 10-22: Focal Length: 10.0 mm (35 mm equivalent: 70.7 mm) Thanks. -- Regards, Nikolai

Has the image been resized? If so, the calculated 35mm scaling factor is unreliable (see the comments in the documentation: http://owl.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/TagNames/Composite.html ) If not, a sample image would be useful since I don't see this problem with any of my current 5D samples.
