Hi,
"current" Versions of lvm2 report extraneous output when invoking the
commands with the -v flag as used by Linux::LVM:
kolkhoz:~# vgdisplay -v > /dev/null
Finding all volume groups
Finding volume group "raid5"
Finding volume group "vg"
kolkhoz:~#
which yields very unsighty script output:
kolkhoz:~/snapshotter# perl -e 'use Linux::LVM; get_volume_group_list()'
Finding all volume groups
Finding volume group "raid5"
Finding volume group "vg"
kolkhoz:~/snapshotter#
This was tested on a Debian Lenny server with these package versions:
||/ Name Version Description
+++-==============-==============-=====================================
ii liblinux-lvm-p 0.14-1 module to access LVM status informati
ii lvm2 2.02.39-2 The Linux Logical Volume Manager
ii perl 5.10.0-17 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction and
best regards,
Michael
