Subject: CPAN v1.9301 doesn't handles prerequisites of Mail::Box v2.084
cpan -i Mail::Message It passed tests and installed. But when I try to use it it dies and compains about missed modules: Mime::Types, User::Identity, Object::Realize::Later, File::Remove, Digest::HMAC_MD5, Mail::IMAPClient. It's very strange behavior. It makes software installation very complex and not very obvious.

This does seem like a problem with CPAN.pm, don't you think? So the bug should not be reported agains MailBox. -- Regards, MarkOv ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Overmeer MSc MARKOV Solutions Mark@Overmeer.net solutions@overmeer.net http://Mark.Overmeer.net http://solutions.overmeer.net
This is not the normal behaviour of CPAN.pm, so there must be something wrong which I cannot diagnose from your description. Full output of your cpan command might help. Likewise what happens when you repeat the same cpan command. Then how exactly you tried to use Mail::Message on which machine with which perl (do you have more than one perl installed?). And then the contents of your CPAN/{,My}Config.pm file. Something has gone wrong somewhere and without much more context I think I cannot suggest anything concrete to help you.
No additional information provided, so we cannot diagnose the problem. Also no other reports.
