I actually contacted John even before publishing the module, also the
perl modules list.
To make a long story short, John was very insistent that his module
would be better, and didn't give up the namespace.
So right now there is nothing I can do about it. You might want to take
this to the perl module list, which is the official arbiter nowadays,
although I doubt it will help much, given the good job they already do
when censoring modules from the modules list based on non-technical merits.
