Subject: Unclear license: GPL or LGPL?
Date: Sat, 11 Oct 2008 16:14:42 +0200
To: bug-Crypt-Rijndael [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Ansgar Burchardt <ansgar [...] 2008.43-1.org>
Hi, Rijndael.pm contains the following statement: This software is licensed under the GNU Public License. See the included COPYING file for details. But the referenced file contains the GNU *Library* (or Lesser) General Public License, not the GNU General Public License. The files _rijndael.c and rijndael.h state they are release under the GNU LGPL, so I suppose Rijndael.xs and Rijndael.pm are also intended to be released under the LGPL (not the GPL)? It's the Lesser GPL, as noted in the COPYING file. I'll correct the terminology in any other references. Thanks,
