Subject: | Read-access to development repository |
Development of DBD::SQLite is presently hidden from public view. This
makes it difficult for potential contributors:
* where to spend our effort? No way of knowing which bugs have been
addressed in the code-base already
* what to patch against? With no repository to work against we run the
risk of patches that we generate not easily applied - more work for the
maintainer.
Additionally, there is a lot of live testing that *could* be taking
place, not to mention bodies willing to help keep DBD::SQLite more
up-to-date with recent SQLite version. We are currently over a year
behind upstream.
For the convenience for both patch submitters and the module author I am
therefore wishing for read-only access to the development repository.
Mark.
