For profiling long lived processes (e.g. Apache / Mason in my case), but
the same might apply to any daemon, it would be great to be able to say
"flush and close this profiling session, and start logging profiling
data to a new file". I guess that would require incrementing a counter
and when non-zero appending it to the pid in the filename.
