Subject: Restricted to 5.8.8 and above, but could run on earlier Perls
Net::Identica demands Perl 5.8.8 or newer (Makefile.PL and lib/Net/Identica.pm both contain "use 5.008008"). However, the module could easily run on earlier Perls; I installed it on 5.8.7 where it works correctly, and on a brief skim through the code, I don't see anything that wouldn't work on any 5.8.x Perl, possibly even older Perls.

This bug has been resolved in Net::Laconica version 0.08 by `use 5.008000'. Thank you for reporting. -- The difference makes the difference
