additionally i wanted to point out the mpeg4 mime types http://www.ietf.org/proceedings/02nov/slides/avt-9.pdf and some other audio-/video formats not listed, such as msvideo for example. or was this never intended to be part of File::Type?

Currently the mime-magic file that I use to create File::Type does not include any of the formats mentioned. However, I'll see if I can find examples in other mime databases that I can support, and, if necessary, add the required building code to File::Type::Builder. I'm afraid, however, that such file types aren't currently a high priority for my own needs, so progress may be a little slow. Thanks.
