Subject: Hyperlinks in Pod
Please note that the L<label|link> form is not valid for URLs. There are at least two links in the COPYRIGHT section of Tkx::FindBar which use this form. From perlpodspec: ยท Authors wanting to link to a particular (absolute) URL, must do so only with "L<scheme:...>" codes (like L<http://www.perl.org>), and must not attempt "L<Some Site Name|scheme:...>" codes. This restriction avoids many problems in parsing and rendering L<...> codes. It seems that the Pod rendered on search.cpan.org does not handle this link form. Regards, Slaven
I had noticed that the links were bad in the HTML documentation on search.cpan.org but thought that it was a bug in the formatter, not a "so don't do that" issue. Now that I've looked at perlpod more closely I see that there is a small caveat there as well: But note that there is no corresponding L<text|scheme:...> syntax, for various reasons. Definitely not important but trivial to fix when I'm in the code anyway.
Fixed in v0.05.
