Subject: interpolate vars
Hi, I had upgrade my Config::General to 2.40. My last version was 2.33. I found the new version is not compatible. If I activate interpolate vars, all strings like $1 ... are substituted. In 2.33 you don't substitute. It's a bug or a feature? Thanks gerd
Could you please provide example code and config so that I can reproduce it? thanks, Tom

I have now a lot work to convert my config from Config::General 2.33 -> 2.40. If I have time I send you a detailed list. Example: 2.33 diffBackupFile=$backupName.yymmdd.ink$baseBackNr.tgz worked 2.40 I must write now ;-( diffBackupFile=${backupName}.yymmdd.ink${baseBackNr}.tgz ;-) gerd ----------------------------------------------------- Gerd Mucha BR-Online Rundfunkplatz 1 80300 München Tel: 089/5900 16024 Fax: 089/5900 16000 gm_post@br-online.de -----------------------------------------------------
Ah yeah. That's a feature and in fix it has been changed since 2.33 because it were not possible to have variables with dots in it. Now it is.

The most important Problem was, that I must disable interpolateVars becase $1, $2 ... recogniced as variables in 2.40 in 2.33 not. But I'm next days very busy. Next week I send you a detailed example. thanks ;-) gerd -- ----------------------------------------------------- Gerd Mucha BR-Online Rundfunkplatz 1 80300 München Tel: 089/5900 16024 Fax: 089/5900 16000 gm_post@br-online.de -----------------------------------------------------
