Mail::Audit cannot write to files >~50MB. This is true for both mboxes and logfiles.

Mail::Audit's logfile is affected. How can this happen through the MTA's setting?

I can vaguely remeber that one. I think the problem was a ulimit or a similar limitation (maybe the mailbox_size_limit mentioned) set to 50 MB. M::A's problem in this case is that it should fail gracefully, but somehow doesn't. Sorry to be so vague, but it's been a long time. I understand that. If you want to look into it, try to limit M::A's maximum file size with ulimit -f or (in case you use Postfix) with the mailbox_size_limit configuration variable. If you can't get M::A to fail silently instead of noisily, it is probably the result of some weird setting somewhere on my system. Anyway, good luck.
