Subject: perlcritic.com feedback
I like Perl::Critic - use it quite a bit. But I have a false positive to report:
1644: # Now block until the GUI passes the range back
1645: my $rin = '';
1646: my $rout = '';
1647: vec($rin, $parent->fileno(), 1) = 1;
1648: if (select($rout=$rin,undef,undef,undef)) {
1649: my $line;
1650: recv($parent, $line, 1000, 0);
1651: ($first, $last) = split ' ', $line;
1652: }
Falsely gives the error:
"select" used to emulate "sleep" at line 1648, column 9. See page 168
of PBP. Severity: 5
