Subject: Suppress log-file creation on request
It would be nice to easily disable creation of log files. In my smoke test setup, they can be repeatedly created if the index is out of date -- polluting my .cpan directory with thousands of log files. Can we have a $ENV{CPAN_SQLITE_NO_LOG_FILES} toggle, please? David

That's a good idea - thanks. I've turned off creation of the log files via setting $ENV{CPAN_SQLITE_NO_LOG_FILES} in CPAN-SQLite-0.196, which will be uploaded to CPAN shortly.
