It seems that when you went from 0.411 to 0.41.2 you did believe to
increase the version number?
You didn't.
The arithmetic of multidot version numbers is explained in the
version.pm manpage. It's not the case that you can simply insert a dot
where you want. To get a multidot version greater than 0.411 you need
something like
0.411.1
0.412.0
1.0.0
whereas 0.41.2 is much, much smaller.
