It fails to find a LCSS in lcss('b', 'ab') and similar inputs.
According to the POD, this is a "feature". Here is a quote from the POD: "undef is returned if the susbstring length is one char or less." I'm not sure why the author decided on this behavior because it seems reasonable to return a substring of length 1. There is a patch which can be adapted to enable this behavior.
