Hi
I'm using DBD-MaxDB-7.7.05.00 to interface PERL scripts with MaxDB.
My script contains the following:
use DBI;
$dbMAXDB =
DBI->connect("dbi:MaxDB:$o_nodename/$o_SID",$maxdb_usr,$maxdb_pwd,
\%dbi_attr) or die;
The values for the variables are supplied.
When this connects to a 7.5 MaxDB instance everything works correctly.
When I try and connect to a 7.6 instance it fails with
SQL -4008 error, DBI connect('.........') failed: POS(1) Unknown user
name/password combination
However, using dbmcli confirms the username/pwd is correct.
It makes no difference if I supply username and passwword in
upper/lower/combo of both.
I'm running PERL 5.8.8 on CENTOS 5.
My MaxDB instances all run on HP-UX, and are non-unicode.
Any ideas as to what the issue might be?
thanks,
Stephen
