Subject: hatch fills on a grey scale image don't adapt colors
Using a hatch fill on a greyscale image doesn't adapt the fg/bg colors to greyscale, resulting in some strange results. For example, drawing with black (0,0,0,255) will be treated as drawing with zero coverage when used in normal mode, resulting in no change to the target image.

There was a similar problem in image based fills.
