Subject: Unauthorized Release (in Bright Red Letters)
I find the fact that the most current version of PDL shows up as an "unauthorized release" a little jarring. It's not clear to me if that means I should not use it or ... http://search.cpan.org/~csoe/PDL-2.4.3/ I understand that this means that someone other than the maintainer uploaded the tar file, but, I think if whoever uploaded is added as a co-maintainer that might go away. Anyway, I think it might scare away potential users and it makes things look sort of unstable or even like there is a rogue version of PDL floating around. Can this be resolved, or is 2.4.3 in fact a run-away rouge release? :) Thanks, Ted
