Subject: MakeMaker - timestamp of manyfi
Date: Thu, 13 Mar 2008 13:37:54 +0100

From: Marcela Maslanova <mmaslano [...] redhat.com>
Distribution name and version of component: ExtUtils::MakeMaker '6.42' Perl version: perl-5.10.0 Operating System vendor and version: Fedora (all) Feature request: Would be possible to add into MakeMaker some option, which support pod2man -d SOME_DAY in Makefile.PL? The problem is, when I'm building anything with automatically generated Makefile, then the timestamps of the man pages are different on different architectures, which cause multilib problem. I'd rather include one date which I choose. Now I have to include the date into spec file. I'll try to write patch for it, but it'd be better when someone from upstream do it correctly. -- Marcela Maslanova BaseOS team Brno

I'm sorry, but non-critical features are no longer being added to MakeMaker. Please have a look at Module::Build for extension possibilities. -- 40. I do not have super-powers. -- The 213 Things Skippy Is No Longer Allowed To Do In The U.S. Army http://skippyslist.com/list/
