Subject: Allow SMTP server to be specified when emailing messages
The email modules assume that the localhost sends the messages, but sometimes messages need to be routed via an smtp server (e.g. on Windows). Would be great if an smtp attribute could be set when emailing log messages if the underlying mail package supports this (e.g. MIME::Lite, Mail::Sendmail)

I think you're best off using Log::Dispatch::Email::EmailSend if you want this type of flexibility. -dave /*=================================================== VegGuide.Org www.BookIRead.com Your guide to all that's veg. My book blog ===================================================*/
