Subject: core dump under solaris x86
when use different version of DBD-ORACLE under solaris x86 (AMD cpu), there will be coredump should TWO_TASK is set, or attempt of connection via a TNS connection string. local connection without TWO_TASK appears to be normal. tried compile DBD-ORACLE use SUN C compiler, gcc, with Perl 5.10, 5.8.8, 5.8.5, with DBI 1.602, all yield same result. ================ uname -a SunOS emailarc-test 5.10 Generic_120012-14 i86pc i386 i86pc ================ perl -V # perl -V Summary of my perl5 (revision 5 version 10 subversion 0) configuration: Platform: osname=solaris, osvers=2.10, archname=i86pc-solaris-thread-multi uname='sunos emailarc-test 5.10 generic_120012-14 i86pc i386 i86pc ' config_args='' hint=previous, useposix=true, d_sigaction=define useithreads=undef, usemultiplicity=undef useperlio=define, d_sfio=undef, uselargefiles=define, usesocks=undef use64bitint=undef, use64bitall=undef, uselongdouble=undef usemymalloc=n, bincompat5005=undef Compiler: cc='/opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc', ccflags ='-I/usr/local/include -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -DPERL_USE_SAFE_PUTENV -DPERL_USE_SAFE_PUTENV -DPERL_USE_SAFE_PUTENV -DPERL_USE_SAFE_PUTENV', optimize='-O', cppflags='-I/usr/local/include -I/usr/local/include -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -DPERL_USE_SAFE_PUTENV -I/usr/local/include -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -DPERL_USE_SAFE_PUTENV -DPERL_USE_SAFE_PUTENV -I/usr/local/include -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -DPERL_USE_SAFE_PUTENV -DPERL_USE_SAFE_PUTENV -DPERL_USE_SAFE_PUTENV' ccversion='Sun C 5.9 SunOS_i386 2007/05/03', gccversion='', gccosandvers='' intsize=4, longsize=4, ptrsize=4, doublesize=8, byteorder=1234 d_longlong=define, longlongsize=8, d_longdbl=define, longdblsize=12 ivtype='long', ivsize=4, nvtype='double', nvsize=8, Off_t='off_t', lseeksize=8 alignbytes=n, prototype=define Linker and Libraries: ld='/opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc', ldflags =' -L/usr/lib -L/usr/ccs/lib -L/opt/SUNWspro/prod/lib -L/lib ' libpth=/usr/lib /usr/ccs/lib /opt/SUNWspro/prod/lib /lib libs=-lsocket -lnsl -ldl -lm -lc perllibs=-lsocket -lnsl -ldl -lm -lc libc=/lib/libc.so, so=so, useshrplib=false, libperl=libperl.a gnulibc_version='' Dynamic Linking: dlsrc=dl_dlopen.xs, dlext=so, d_dlsymun=undef, ccdlflags=' ' cccdlflags='-KPIC', lddlflags='-G -L/usr/lib -L/usr/ccs/lib -L/opt/SUNWspro/prod/lib -L/lib' Characteristics of this binary (from libperl): Compile-time options: PERL_DONT_CREATE_GVSV PERL_MALLOC_WRAP PERL_USE_SAFE_PUTENV USE_LARGE_FILES USE_PERLIO Built under solaris Compiled at Feb 26 2008 15:34:49 @INC: /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.10.0/i86pc-solaris /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.10.0 /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0/i86pc-solaris /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0 .

There is not a lot of information on that ticket to get us going, and TWO_TASK seems to be working for everybody else. In consequence, I'll close this ticket. If you have any more information from your side, please feel free to re-open it again.
