Subject: Trying to Create Perl Executable
Date: Wed, 20 Feb 2008 20:29:57 -0600

Hi: I have been unsuccessful in producing a perl executable. I thought I had followed the instructions carefully. When I try to use the pp command I get the following error: Can't find par loader at C:/Perl/site/lib/PAR/Packer.pm line 101 It looks like the syntax is wrong. When I go to C:\Perl\site\lib\PAR\ is see Packer.pm. Hopefully, you can help me resolve this issue. Thanks, Wyatt Also, when I first downloaded Win32-Exe-0.08.tar.gz it was named Win32-Exe-0.08.tar.tar. I ended up renaming it and it looked to process okay.

This error is coming *from* Packer.pm, so that's found. Please try to reinstall PAR::Packer from CPAN (version 0.977) or if you need to use a binary, try those from the bribes.org PPM repository. (Or from Randy Kobes' repository -- theoryx5) If you're still having trouble afterwards, please send a mail to the mailing list par@perl.org. State the version and source(!) of your perl, PAR, PAR::Packer, etc. in it. Show quoted text

That is VERY old. Try Win32::Exe 0.11: http://search.cpan.org/dist/Win32-Exe Cheers, Steffen P.S.: I'm closing this ticket. Please don't reply to it unless you want it reopened.
