The File::Temp distribution contains several extraneous files: ._ChangeLog ._README ._Temp.pm The latter of these actually ends up getting installed: Installing /usr/lib/perl5/5.8/File/._Temp.pm Installing /usr/lib/perl5/5.8/File/Temp.pm Writing /usr/lib/perl5/5.8/cygwin/auto/File/Temp/.packlist Appending installation info to /usr/lib/perl5/5.8/cygwin/perllocal.pod

I think the newest MakeMaker is clever enough to not include these hidden files when doing "make dist".
