Hi, WWW-Search-Ebay-0.232 builds fine, but 'make test' throw a bunch of errors. The log is attached. Could you please take a look ? Regards, Xavier

Sorry for the delay, I will work on it soon. In the meantime, you can look carefully at the test results, most of the "normal" search methods are working. Do you need one of the ones that is failing? -- - - Martin 'Kingpin' Thurn

The full story is I've packaged this module on request of some of my users some time ago. I assume they are not using any of the failing search methods as they didn't complain. Now I'm trying to properly finish the job and make it available to a wider audience by submitting this package for review and inclusion in the distro I'm using (Fedora/RHEL). The package won't pass the review step if the 'make test' output is not clean, hence this bug report. Let me know if I can do anything to help. Thanks in advance and regards, Xavier
Sorry for the delay, I fixed all the Ebay modules today and uploaded a new distro.

Hi Martin, Thanks for the new version. However, there's still one test failing for me : t/bybidderid....# Sending 0-page query... # Failed test 'got valid HTTP response' # in /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/WWW/Search/Test.pm at line 634. # got: '501' # expected: '200' # Looks like you failed 1 test of 14. dubious Test returned status 1 (wstat 256, 0x100) DIED. FAILED test 5 There are also a number of tests that 'unexpectedly succeeded' but it's probably harmless. Regards, Xavier

With 2.234, the error above is still there and it introduced a good number of additional failed tests. 'make test' log attached. Regards, Xavier

OK I figured out why bidderid was failing... ebay.com now redirects to an https: URL for that. I moved bidderid to the other ebay distro. Thanks for testing! - - Martin Show quoted text

This one is gone and the overall result is much better, but it's still not perfect. Log attached. Regards, Xavier

Hi, WWW-Search-Ebay-0.238 tarball contains a WWW-Search-Ebay-0.237 subdir and outputs more errors than 0.236. btw, lemme know when you push a new distro out so I can quickly give it a run. Regards, Xavier

With the latest couple distros, mainly 2.247, I had a breakthrough and in my testing all the modules are much more stable. -- - - Martin 'Kingpin' Thurn
IMO the current distro 3.004 is much more stable than previous. I will mark this issue as "resolved" but feel free to reply again (or create a new ticket) if you start getting WWW::Search::Ebay failures.
