can you include a note in the pod describing how this is different from Cache::Memcached::XS?

I can certainly include that, but here's the clarification. ::XS is a binding for libmemcache ::LibMemcached is a binding for libmemcached (notice the "d") the main memcached site seems to indicate that libmemcache is no longer actively developed.
