It would be a great addition if you could check the return code of a geocode
request that was sent to google, this way you could possibly have some
insight into the reason why your request failed, or if it succeeded without
checking against a lat or lng value.
Great module btw.

It's added to the TODO list for next version. I'll try to make the
release next week.
And I'm sorry for the delay it took me to answer, I spent some time in
KDE 4.0.0 debugging and spent more time in hollydays ;-)

Finally, I'm on it ! It's been a long time since you first reported the need for
Geo::Coder::GoogleMaps to let users to access the geocode error status, but I am finally working on
it. Evolution can be followed on the code.google.com place for this module :
