Subject: | Wrong description of "for" blocks for plain POD |
Hi,
reading through the main documentation of Pod::PseudoPOD I noticed
that there's an error when describing the "for" block for plain POD
(rif. "Terminology"):
=for production
In the following paragraph, please use the
Mayan petroglyph for corn in place of [corn].
=end for
As specified in perlpod:
The command "=for formatname text..." specifies that the remainder
of just this paragraph (starting right after formatname) is in that
special format.
[...]
That is, with "=for", you can have only one paragraph's worth of
text (i.e., the text in "=foo targetname text..."), but with
"=begin targetname" ... "=end targetname", you can have any amount
of stuff inbetween.
Thus, the example should read:
=for production
In the following paragraph, please use the
Mayan petroglyph for corn in place of [corn].
with no "=end for" and without the empty line after "=for".
Unless... I've totally misunderstood the aim of the "Terminology"
paragraph :)

Flavio Poletti.
