| Hi,
|
| I have noticed field 16 "PE" is consistently not matching the value on
| the Yahoo Finance or Google Finance web page... by a large margin.
I think you may be on to something. Maybe Yahoo! no longer sticks updated
data onto the csv interface. What I get using
edd@ron:~> yahooquote --verbose IBM
Symbol: IBM
Name: INTL BUSINESS MAC
Last: 108.10
Trade Date: 12/31/2007
Trade Time: 4:01pm
Change: -1.99
% Change: -1.81%
Volume: 5732866
Avg. Daily Volume: 7917390
Bid: N/A
Ask: N/A
Prev. Close: 110.09

Day's Range: 107.26 - 110.00
52-Week Range: 88.77 - 121.46
EPS: 5.16
P/E Ratio: 21.34
Div. Pay Date: Dec 10
Div/Share: 1.50
Div. Yield: 1.36
Mkt. Cap: 170.7B
Exchange: NYSE
does not match what one sees at
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=IBM
But Finance::YahooQuote only 'delivers' what Yahoo! makes available, so I
have no fix to suggest. As I recall someone once wrote a module
Finance::YahooProfile that 'screen scrapes' so maybe you can try that.
