Subject: Artifacts from Mac OS X make package unusable
The archive contains several files from Mac OS X starting with ._* -rwxr-xr-x 1 501 root 82 Dec 24 19:04 ._Changes -rwxr-xr-x 1 501 root 82 Feb 28 2005 ._INSTALL -rwxr-xr-x 1 501 root 82 Dec 24 19:30 ._MANIFEST -rwxr-xr-x 1 501 root 82 Dec 24 19:30 ._META.yml -rwxr-xr-x 1 501 root 82 Dec 24 19:11 ._Makefile.PL -rwxr-xr-x 1 501 root 82 Dec 24 19:09 ._README The ._Makefile.PL gets picked up by MakeMaker and yields this error: /opt/csw/bin/perl "-Iblib/arch" "-Iblib/lib" ._Makefile.PL ._Makefile Unrecognized character \x05 at ._Makefile.PL line 1. Removing the files starting with ._* solves the problem.
